My 8 year old cousin, Elly, caught this fly off the window.

Every year the community in Roberts Creek gets together and repaints this huge mandala. The circle is roughly the size of a cul – de – sac.

Away pulls the Bowen Island ferry from Horseshoe Bay. I took this from my ferry which was going to the Sunshine Coast.

Photo Backlog?

No posts for 3 days as I will be incommunicado on the Sunshine Coast… tons of photo taking opportunities there, though, so I will have 3 days of photos when I return as well as a crapload more on Flickr! Stay tuned!

Day 55 – Pierced!

Kylie, one of my Sunday School girls, got her ears pierced this week. Such cute tiny pink earrings!

Little Ashlynn’s pink toes.

In Horseshoe Bay, British Columbia.

Day 52 – Fire!

OK… so it’s poorly shot, blurry, at 1600 ISO at 12:45 a.m. as I’m running down the street, but THIS is a photo of a brand new 4 storey condo complex in my neighbourhood burning right to the ground.

The quality of the photograph may not speak for my skills but it should say something for my instinct, as the second I saw the fire and smelled the thick smoke in the air, I though “I need to grab my camera!”

It rained fire retardant on me and ash on my car and house 2 blocks away, and I literally slept for 2 hours max last night because of it.

New journal (environmentally friendly), excellent “new” second hand paperback from an author I just discovered, and a postcard from my friend Michelle who is in Kenya working for an NGO! Yay!
